Sherwood Strickland – Making his Clients Millionaires

Sherwood Strickland, Realtor and investment specialist, works as a part of Team Strickland of Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Realty. His mother Cynthia Strickland, who is perhaps the most well known name in the real estate business in the local area, leads team Strickland. Sherwood Strickland’s focus has been mainly the Carolina and Kure Beach areas.
Strickland became involved in the real estate market three years ago. Prior to his current position, he spent twenty years owning and managing his own construction business. He served the South East region doing specialty contracting. Since joining Team Strickland, he has proven to be an invaluable asset.

In 2005, Team Strickland generated over 82 million dollars in sales. Sherwood Strickland was responsible for over 45 million of the total, making him “the top selling agent on the island.” Team Strickland is a “family of coastal market experts, changing people’s lifestyles and creating more wealth for their clients.” Team Strickland has received a considerable amount of recognition for “transforming the island.” They were featured in NC Boating Lifestyle last year; the article was titled “Extreme Makeover at Carolina Beach with Team Strickland.”
“When people from out of state ask where is a nice place to live in Coastal Carolina, I tell them Carolina Beach because of the pace of life,” commented Sherwood Strickland. “I think that in 10-12 years from now Carolina Beach and Kure Beach will catch Wrightsville Beach and bypass them with luxury living” stated Strickland. According to Strickland, new construction is the way Carolina Beach is going; the best investments are in tearing down the old beach cottages and replacing them with luxury living featuring elevators, granite countertops, garden tubs, hardwood and ceramic floors, and spectacular ocean views. “The change is good; it’s bringing a lot of money into the area,” said Strickland.

Team Strickland combines an unusual mixture of experience and a large real estate team consisting of buyer’s agents, client care specialists, listing specialists, marketing agents, and closing coordinators. “It has to be a team effort to do the amount of business we do. It takes a qualified team to be successful. We market from the Wall Street Journal all the way to Wilmington,” said Strickland. “We are a specialty team that goes the extra mile for its clients in selling or buying. We close properties on time.” Sherwood Strickland encourages potential clients to select him: “List or buy with me because of my market knowledge and my knowledge of the area. I find it fun to make people millionaires. It is a thrill to see people at closing get over a million dollars. I believe in treating all clients the same whether we are talking about $300,000 or a million, it doesn’t matter. I will get the job done. I value each and every client the same.”

Sherwood Strickland was born and raised in Wrightsville Beach; he graduated high school from New Hanover High. He relocated to the Charlotte area after high school. He and his family resided in Charlotte for 23 years before moving back to the local area in 2002. He is a retired bodybuilder who is passionate about fitness.
